Even though Gorman developed into a skilled poet at a relatively young age, she has nevertheless had difficulties when it comes to sharing her work.

A Florida parent requested that Amanda Gorman’s inauguration poetry speech be removed from the elementary school curriculum in 2023.

The poem “The Hill us Climb” by Gorman was cited by one parent as having “hate messages.” While not outright forbidden, this poem was only allowed for middle school children and distributed to them according to their age.

Well, Amanda replied-
